"Henry Martin Altepeter Jr., founder and president of Altepeter Construction Co., died Saturday (published in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch on July 15, 2001) at St. John's Mercy Medical Center of complications from heart disease. He was 76 and lived in Ladue at the time of his death. He formerly lived in Frontenac. A native of St. Louis, Mr. Altepeter was a 1942 graduate of Beaumont High School. He was a track and football scholarship student at Northwestern University, where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree. Mr. Altepeter married the former Alice Greve of St. Louis in 1950. They were divorced, and he later married the former Jan Berberich, who died in 1999. "
